The Rock and the Feather

Name: The Rock and the Feather

Artist: Rosalina Cantu Guzman

Medium: pastel with acrylic

Size: 9x12 inches

Private Collection: San Juan, Puerto Rico

EXPLANATION:
The man's position; it is an image I saw to paint. I had to look it up. Moreover, I found in a book of Wong Kiew Kit, and it's a kung fu posture, that is called "White snake crosses valley". This posture transfers the energy to one hand to the other. The most interesting fact is that the snake since the times of the Greeks symbolizes “Healing”. Until this day, the Doctors use it as a symbol. The white symbolizes new beginnings and the end of a cycle. And it means wholeness, completion. The black and white in the painting mean… White; "energy of completion". And the black: energy of gestation of preparation. When one is desperate, we see black as fear, unknown, and uncertainty. However, when one changes the black means “restful emptiness" that allows many opportunities to emerge or disappear.

The message that appears in the black says: When you learn how to balance the rock and the feather, then you will find your balance. The answer lies within you. The answer: The rock and the feathers are the same…”

The blue that comes out from its mouth means the transmission of the message of peace. The colors that show on the side where is white: the green and the red; means that he is in a moment of rebirth, but he needs action. The triangles might relate to the chakras the one near the heart, the heart chakra related to love and relationships. And the blue triangle the solar plexus chakra related to the personal energy. Here the energy comes from the outside, the energy of the universe. Here are shown here because these 2 chakras are important for his rediscovery and finding his balance. The name of the painting is called: “The rock and the feather.”

Through my "Cuatro" I transmit you "his" message

Explicacion...

Explanation

The mountain in form of the Virgin Mary refers to the sacrade Hill in puerto Rico. And the symbol that comes from the sky is the love that is comunicated with the aztec symbol that means comunication. That reaches the Virgin Mary, and the message is then transmitted through her son Jesus, who then transmits it to all mankind. In this case a grandfather playing his puertorrican Cuatro telling the stories to her grandaughter under a Flamboyan tree from Puerto Rico. We see the girl warming her hads with the love, that are the teachigs of Jesus. The colors used in this painting are the ones in the mantle of the virgin of Guadalupe.... the painting is called... Through my Cuatro I transmit his message...Love".

The story behind this painting

Hi all,

I just finished a painting that took me a year to complete. remember I told you all in a former message that I paint when the moment is right. Well it was today. I just couldn't paint it before because something was missing.
Yesterday I knew I had to be with the person this painting is for in holy week. She started talking about her grandfather stories, and how she new a a woman who preached in Puerto rico in a place now is known as the Sacrade Hill In Puerto Rico. She also told me how she saw the virgin when she was a child. This stories were the link that was missing. So today I finished...Hope you all like it

Coming Home

Here's the explanation:

This painting shows the moment two people accept love and find home. She has come through a long journey to get here, her footprints are just a memory of her path and the first painting I did for her, called “Moving Forward”, leaving her trouble past behind and starting a new journey. The footprints end in the “Healing Tree”, the next painting I did for her, a painting that shows all her strengths as a woman. She has an Eagle feather that combines her spirituality of Native American with Jewish. The journey ends when she meets Love…him! He has a journey too, that shows his path as a story-teller and artist. The 4 Eagle feathers symbolize his 4 daughters. When they meet, them both have found home, that’s what the mountain symbolizes, “home”, and the Eagle means that God, Great Sprit is watching after them. If you see a blue symbol that comes from the face of him and ends in the sky in a non-ending circle, means he’s connected to the sky as his Native name shows it, eagle. She on the other hand, her non-ending circle symbol goes to nature, she grounds him. So, what this means is that they both balance each other. The medicine wheel portrays their journey, the past and the future. The white area symbolizes the past, that’s why the footprints are grey, symbolizing her troubled past. The red area; means what he brought to the relationship. He showed her how to believe again in love, that’s her eye. On top, on the left, the black area; is what she brought to the relationship, her-self, her laughter, being a woman. And on the right, the yellow part; means the future; the child they want to have, “Thunder”, and one of his daughters who are very part of their lives now, who loves turtles. The color blue of him means peace and the yellow means the energy to bring knowledge forward. She is purple that means creativity, being a dreamer, the orange give her focus on her new life, but also means the need to evolve, to learn. Together they form green that means change, new beginnings, and a new life together. In the green, there’s a tree that is a gift from me to them, a wish for a long and happy life together. This painting is called “Coming Home”.

RESPONSE OF THE PERSON THIS IS FOR

My Smiling Universe

Explanation:
This painting is in 3 canvases. The right one shows the start of her foot prints on the sand, each mark on the sand is a symbol of her mark in the world, as knowledge to others, love. Or like here two footprints show the growth of her sons; one loves the sea and surf, and the other painting. You will see that sea comes across the plant that symbolizes her sons; it means that they are now part of the sea of life as they are now grown men. On the same canvas on the left, a plant has a heart that symbolizes her new love, her husband, who expressed that she’s his passion. Now we move to the canvas on the left, she has a candle on her head symbolizing her purpose in life, to be a light to others, as she has been to many, with her life, knowledge and experiences, she has helped others. From her hair, flow her passions, music, painting and the word, this last one symbolized with the Aztec symbol of speech. And it also has in Spanish the phrase “yo soy lo que el creador es” “I am what the creator is”. From her hair where the canvas is, it only has a point that symbolizes her infinite creativity. In her right hand, very subtle is the symbol of Jesus, a fish, where he is always present in her life protecting her. In her heart there’s the symbol of God a butterfly. I always use a butterfly to symbolize God, because like a butterfly he’s always there, but we never notice it. Now the center canvas, many will think that her life goes forward, just like her footsteps are left behind. In reality life is now, in the center, in the moment. The window represents the moment she changed her life, the moment she found her strength, the moment she found herself. The window shows the universe, the all. On the top on the left is God, the nose is a butterfly and his smile unifies everything. Down on the left window, represents what she needs it has the symbol of water and the circle of life. On the right top of the window, symbolizes her inspiration, her dreams, the knowledge that it’s infinite, as she’s always learning and living life. In the bottom of the right window is a face of a little girl smiling that symbolizes her little girl that is now with God. But as God she’s smiling because the smile shows the reality of life, that love is what keeps the wheel moving and life is just really simple, all the knowledge of the universe lies within that smile. In that smile god is saying “Don’t worry, whatever happens all we’ll be all right, enjoy life, I’m there. All three canvases have a butterfly that unites her world with God watching after all that she loves. The pink and blue of the butterfly is regarding the messages Jesus has given her and he’s protecting her. Her color red is the strength she portrays and turquoise green in her body it has a very spiritual significance, because many ancient cultures used stones of that color for protection, in her means inner-confidence. This painting is called “My smiling universe”.

My Response to You

This painting was ordered as a Christmas gift, the name is "My Response to you".
I leave the explanation to the response of the person this painting is for...
RESPONSE
This is the actual letter verbatim of the person in Spanish, below is the translation in English.
"When I saw the painting it captivated me the motive in the sensuality, the relationship I live today. The colors without knowing, you captured in my skin are my favorite color that is light violet. And in her that is the green with pink touches. The heart shows my passion for the sea, that grand psychologist that challenges me in each wave and brings me into exhaustion. But not for being tired I stop loving him. Without the sea I’m nothing and ironically the sea is the nothing, and u can see everything in this painting. What more can I say. It looks like as if you made a deal with Morpheus that is the indiscrete guardian of all our dreams. To whom without our consent we share with him our most intimate memories and this gift gave it to you; allowing you to capture the essence of our dreams, of our thoughts, of our being. What else can I say, Thank you for taking the time for thinking of me to capture what sometimes I don’t understand and letting me see that not all is for us to understand, simply it is… thank you so much daughter of Morpheus (guardian of dreams)."
